Corvina is an Italian red-wine grape most famouly used as the main contituent of Valpolicella wines. Fermented in small, cone-shaped stainless steel vats. Fermentation is slow, with a long maceration on the skins in order to allow for maxium extraction of the typical complex aromatic and polyphenolic components. Prior to bottling the wine spends 24 months in oak barrels.

Our 2009 Signature Series Lacrima is a bright wine with a smooth finish, with flavors of cherry and black current.

La Crima is an ancient grape varietal, grown only in the Morro D'Alba commune in the Marche region of central Italy. During production, must from partially dried grapes is added resulting in a secondary fermentation. This process creates a deep ruby red wine with intense aromas and flavors of roses, blueberries and spices.

This wine is 100% Aglianico, a red grape that produces a dark, full-bodied, robust and aromatic wine with aromas and flavors of blackberry, plum and baking spices. Dry, warm and soft, with great concentration of gentle tannins, with a full and equilibrated body.

Made from 100% Aglianico grapes from Campania, Italy our 2010 imported Aglianico is a smooth and supple, big red with unique character, great complexity and terrific ageability.

Corvina 2008

Imported from Italy and hand selected as a true representation of the quality of wine produced in the northeast region od Veneto. This wine is 100% Corvina Veronese, an elegant, dark and spicy red wine, with aromas and flavots of cherries, black pepper and anise. Aged longer this wine becomes spicier with hints of cinnamon, star anise and licorice.

Our 2008 Corvina was produced from fruit that saw slow maturing, and underwent a drying step on air racks, referred to as "recioto" to concentrate the good traits of the grape while ridding it of excess moisture, resulting in a wine that is opulent, silky red, and loaded with jammy dried cherries, warm dark chocolate, spices, and sweet toasted oak and almond.
