Terra Collection

2025 Rosé Of Barbera, North Coast

$35

Aromas of peach, strawberry, lychee and lemon zest carry through to similar fruit flavors, where hints of rhubarb and minerality add complexity. Vibrant acidity and a rich mid-palate give way to a refreshing, dry finish.

Food Pairings

Enjoy with oysters dressed in rhubarb mignonette or a smoked salmon rillette. Refreshing acidity enhances the oysters’ briny character, while the fruit flavors provide a beautiful counterpoint to the savory, smoky richness of the salmon.

Vineyard Notes

The Barbera grown in the Las Lomas vineyard is planted on gently sloping volcanic soils at 1,560 feet elevation. The cool evenings and well-draining soil produce lovely grapes with balanced acidity and a backbone of minerality.

Label Artwork

Inspired by summers spent swimming in the ocean or lounging poolside. A carefree piece for a warm-weather wine, best enjoyed in the sun.

Winemaker Notes

Clusters were destemmed and then held in the press overnight to extract the beautiful pink color of this wine. The wine was pressed to tank where it was hard settled for 48 hours before bring racked cleanly (under 50 NTU) off gross lees to another stainless steel tank for fermentation. VL1 yeast was used for fermentation to impart some floral and citrus notes. A month-long fermentation at 55°F preserved the bright aromatics.

Our Label Story

Behind the Marble

Our wine labels are more than decoration—they reflect heritage, craftsmanship, and our Italian roots. Inspired by the hand-painted frescoes once featured on past bottles, in 2018 we set out to reintroduce authentic Italian artistry in a fresh, modern way. That vision led us to Maria Giannini, a sixth-generation artisan and the first woman to lead her family’s 150-year-old marbling studio, Giulio Giannini e Figlio, in Florence.

Maria’s hand-marbled papers, crafted with traditional tools and natural pigments, form the foundation of our Terra and Altura Collection labels. Each wine features a unique pattern and color palette inspired by its distinct flavor profile and story, interpreted through a close collaboration between Maria and Viansa.
