Coming from a mountainside vineyard, these Cabernet grapes produce a concentrated wine that has finessed, bold tannins and a roundness on the palate. Cassis, blackberry, violets, caramel and a hint of fresh mint abound on the aromatics. The wine comes alive on the palate with notes that mirror the aromatics — blackberry and vanilla on the entry, floral and dried herbs on the finish.

Magnum bottles (1.5L) aren’t just bigger than standard bottles — they’re better in a few key ways. Less exposure to air means the wine ages slower, developing more nuanced and layered aromas and flavors, and it stays fresher longer once opened. Magnums also bring a serious wow factor to any special occasion, making a bold statement at the table!
In Italian, inizio means beginning or start. The sun on this label represents a new day, and in turn conveys the power, strength and infinite possibility that resides within a new beginning.
Harvested in the early morning and destemmed to closed-topped stainless steel tank. Cold soaked for 72 hours before raising the temperature and inoculating with FX10 yeast — selected for its ability to enhance blue or black fruit and release polysaccharides. Wine was fermented for 14 days with twice daily pump-overs before being drained and pressed to stainless steel tank. Secondary fermentation completed in tank, then the wine was aged in 85% new French oak barrels for 19 months. Taransaud, Bel Air, Sylvain and Quintessence coopers.

The Cielo Collection is a tribute to the Sebastiani family legacy and represents the pinnacle of winemaking at Viansa. Designed by Italian artist Mario DiPaulo of Spazio DiPaulo, each label features a unique symbol or pendant that honors a meaningful chapter of our story.
The rising sun on Inizio represents the power and promise of new beginnings. The four segmented pieces of Vertice reflect four generations of the Sebastiani family, with golden pathways symbolizing the journey to the summit. Quattro features four interlocking rings, evoking both unity across generations. And Trentesimo celebrates Viansa’s 30-year history, with gold lines shaped from the topography of our hillside estate.
Together, these designs are a visual tribute to where we’ve been, where we are, and what lies ahead.
