2022 Rosé of Barbera, North Coast (3L Double Magnum)

$125

$93.75

This wine jumps out of the glass with aromas of red berries, white peach and hints of ripe pears. The entry of this wine comes off rich but balanced with the acidity and minerality. Flavors of white strawberry, citrus blossoms and stone fruits shine through on the palate.

Food Pairings

Our Rosé of Barbera pairs well with goat cheese crostini with hot honey or grilled vegetables with Meyer lemon, fresh tarragon, olive oil, and shaved parmesan.

Varietal Notes

Barbera is a popular red Italian grape varietal known for its deep color, full body, low tannins, and high acidity. Composed of 100% Barbera, we’re loving the Italian inspiration in this wine.

About Double Magnums

Double Magnum bottles (3L) aren’t just bigger than standard bottles — they’re better in a few key ways. Less exposure to air means the wine ages slower, developing more nuanced and layered aromas and flavors, and it stays fresher longer once opened. Double Magnums also bring a serious wow factor to any special occasion, making a bold statement at the table!

Label Artwork

Inspired by summers spent swimming in the ocean or lounging poolside. A carefree piece for a warm-weather wine, best enjoyed in the sun.

Vineyard Notes

The Barbera from the Las Lomas vineyard is planted on gently sloping volcanic soils at 1560 feet elevation. This vineyard site produces lovely grapes that have balanced acidity with a backbone of minerality.

Winemaker Notes

Picked in the early morning the cold grape clusters were destemmed and sat on the skins for four hours to give the juice is beautiful pink color before being pressed to tank. After being racked off the heavy solids the juice was fermented at 58F to preserve the beautiful aromatics. The dry wine was then racked off the lees and aged in tank for 3 months before bottling.

Our Label Story

Behind the Marble

Our wine labels are more than decoration—they reflect heritage, craftsmanship, and our Italian roots. Inspired by the hand-painted frescoes once featured on past bottles, in 2018 we set out to reintroduce authentic Italian artistry in a fresh, modern way. That vision led us to Maria Giannini, a sixth-generation artisan and the first woman to lead her family’s 150-year-old marbling studio, Giulio Giannini e Figlio, in Florence.

Maria’s hand-marbled papers, crafted with traditional tools and natural pigments, form the foundation of our Terra and Altura Collection labels. Each wine features a unique pattern and color palette inspired by its distinct flavor profile and story, interpreted through a close collaboration between Maria and Viansa.
